Why sugar is bad? Sugar is the most amiable item which is a part of our daily food and we can’t stop our cravings for this particular food item and now present in almost every beverage drinks and sweets.

Thus it becomes the most discussed dietary issue in recent years with the health disputes it brings to us.

Being said: Sugar is the single most devil ingredient to ever put in your diet. Almost every sort of diabetes is contributed to sugar.

 

Why sugar is bad for health?

Many of us are unaware that starchy foods like bread, rice or potatoes are broken down by digestion into surprisingly large amounts of sugar (glucose); a small slice of wholemeal bread is equivalent to 3 spoonfuls of sugar.

It’s important therefore that your diet does not contain too much carbohydrate either to balance its composition on your body.

It is been believed that natural sugars are not considered free sugar which presents in fruits and vegetable because of their high nutritional value.

However, the WHO noted that free sugar in processed drinks is generally hidden.

An average 80% of packaged food and drinks contains added preservatives and sweeteners.

It is recommended by WHO to have 12 tablespoons of total sugar no more than that in your diet is fine. That comprises of all sugar present in the starchy food, beverages, honey, and syrups.

But according to a USDA report, an average American consumes 150 to 170 pounds of sugar every year.

Overload of sugar can be an invitation to type 2 diabetes, cancers, weight gain, hypertension and risk of uncountable diseases.

A major cause of this has come from the high amounts of sugars added to a wide range of processed foods and beverages. 1/3 of added sugar consumed by adults comes from beverages’.

Sugar has extra significance to people with diabetes as sugar has a forbidding effect in raising blood sugar levels causes to healthcare crisis which leads to chronic metabolic disease.

What is the major problem:

Billions of dollars are being spent to cure diabetes, dementia for millions of people out there.

Government promises we are going to open the preventative services but there are no preventative services out there the only thing which will work is prevention.

Is this means we are screwed? Huh. Where these things come from is obesity epidemic, right.

Everyone says that “If only some people could just eat less and exercise more, we would solve this problem it’s their fault”.

But what to note here is:

We have 7 deadly sins you know and we have absorbed all five of the other sins. We’ve absorbed jealousy, greed, wrath, pride, and lust. The only 2 we are not able to get rid of, are gluttony and sloth. 

There are 8 out of 10 people who have diabetes in the world. You are blind to diabetes until you become blind from diabetes. So you don’t know when you are in problem yet.

Most of the obese people from the world have hypertension; cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and you know they don’t realize they have a problem.

When you add them up there are millions and you can’t simply say to them you eat healthy and diet that’s not a standard solution. In other words, this is a public health crisis.

This problem is mostly in those ages which have the most obesity and they may think of their fat belly is a sign of their better nutrition and take no medical precautions to find out what’s going on their bodies.

According to data, Based on a 2000 calorie diet, the average person is consuming around 260 calories worth of added sugars a day excluding natural sugars.

If you got big love handles that don’t mean he is sick and a guy who is fat but no love handles can be sickest because he accumulate fat around his organs and that’s what makes him fat.

A calorie is a Calorie that’s what a company says but I believe in stats and stats say:

  • Some calories cause diseases more than others.
  • Different calories are metabolized differently.
  • A calorie is not a calorie.

And when you understand a calorie is not a calorie then the problem solves.

  • Added sugar– found in beverages, processed foods, and sweets.
  • The product of the digestion of more complex carbohydrates (e.g. bread)
  • There are natural sugars found in fruit, milk-based products, and vegetables.

Added free sugar, which presents in all beverage and soft drinks comes from added sources.

All consume the excess amount of sugars than what is recommended for world health organization to be in a safe place.

Added sugars are the real problem because of every processed food we consume has some amount of added sugar it has becomes eternal.

And we are consuming 2 sodas instead of 1 soda. So 29% problem of diabetes is due to soda (sugar) alone this study satisfies the cause of problem only.

  • Sugar causes that fat accumulation around the organs that do not form as love handles it’s internal.
  • Sugar is addictive so you can’t stop it.
  • Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia have the worst conditions where alcohol is banned but is sugar banned, No. Because it’s not alcohol that’s there people reward. I start drinking Alcohol rather than soft drink. Why? Because I can drink once in the day under the table. Unlike sugar which I enjoy with every meal.
  • There are 56 names of sugars you don’t even know what you are consuming.
  • If the Dietary label of the food packing has listed added sugars if not where is the sugar.

There is a direct quote“We believe higher taxation on sugary foods and drinks would be the best option to reduce intake and fund the health care costs associated with diabetes and obesity”. The investment bank is calling taxation that’s how big this problem is.

Then the question arises after listening all the data If one-day government invade your kitchen and take out all sugar. That will be fine or not?

Hell, the government should not be supposed in my kitchen, the same sugar should not be in a kitchen too which is more dangerous and already taken up your freedom, money, and health.

You can’t cure the public health crisis it should be the personal responsibility.

If your choice hurts others- that’s not freedom that’s anarchy.
